Collective Brilliance Experience: Part 1
A Creative Exploration Series
Have creative ideas but aren’t sure where to start or how to bring them to life? Looking for a supportive space to reflect, strategize, and move forward with your artistic or creative projects?
The Collective Brilliance Experience program invites folks from all creative disciplines to engage with emergent strategy, evolutionary design and project management skills as they build out personal and community projects.
This guided, interactive series helps members of the Sacramento creative community—artists, creatives, and changemakers—gain clarity, spark inspiration, and take meaningful steps toward their creative goals, all within a collaborative, low-pressure environment.
Over the course of four sessions, you’ll engage in playful exercises, group discussions, and reflective practices to explore your vision, identify what’s working, and develop next steps that make sense for you.

What to Expect in Part 1:
Session 1: Sparking Vision
Get inspired through playful exercises designed to help you generate ideas and find your personal ‘why.’
Session 2: What is Working?
Deepen your vision by sharing success stories and create clear steps to start turning your ideas into reality.
Session 3: Playful Design Time
Playfully design the “worst plan ever” and reflect to stop counterproductive behaviors and make space for innovation.
Session 4: Reflection Practice
Review progress to date and decide what adjustments are needed to move forward in our projects and goals ending with next steps that make sense.
This isn’t a traditional class—it’s a dynamic, exploratory experience where creativity and strategy meet. Whether you’re working on a project, searching for creative direction, or just want to engage with like-minded artists in a thoughtful way, this space is for you.

About the Instructor
Bernadeta (Bernie) Baktashian joined Empire Arts Collective in 2022 and quickly became an integral part of the team, supporting inclusive performing arts through intentional collaboration and community effort. Bernie is on a mission to create spaces where art sparks connection and celebrates vulnerability, believing that every voice can contribute to a more inclusive and vibrant world.
As Director of Artistic Community Programming, Bernie loves reimagining how we create together, building artistic pathways that are co-created by the community, for the community. Through collaboration, creativity, and shared joy, she creates space for everyone to shine.
