Let your kid’s creativity and comedic genius shine at our one-of-a-kind Teen Improv Comedy Camp! Nestled in the heart of the greater Sacramento area, our camp is the ultimate playground for young comedians aged 12 to 17, giving kids the opportunity to have a fun time and parents the opportunity to leave their kids in good hands during the work day.

Description

Throughout each day, campers will engage in a variety of improv comedy and improvisational theatre exercises aimed at boosting confidence, teamwork, and quick thinking.

Our daily schedule is packed with excitement, featuring everything from group warm-ups to improv skills lessons. Plus, with flexible drop-off and pickup times, we’re here to support busy parents while providing enriching experiences for their kids.

Whether they’re seasoned performers or just discovering their comedic flair, our Teen Improv Comedy Camp promises to be an experience they’ll never forget. Enroll your kid in weeks of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories!

When:

  • November 25th – November 27th, 2024
  • Drop off time: Flexible drop off, from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Pickup time: Flexible pickup, between 4:00 – 5:00 PM

Where:

Empire LaunchPad at Sierra 2 Center, 2791 24th St, Room 13 (upstairs), Sacramento, CA 95818

Requirements:

Students must be between the ages of 12 and 17 to register. Tuition is nonrefundable. Students should bring their own lunch. Water, sparkling water, and snacks (snacks will meet EMSA Health and Safety Standards) will be provided for breaks.

Our venue is upstairs on floor 2. The building is wheelchair accessible, including the bathrooms and access to the second floor via a stair lift. Please let us know if you plan to use it or require any other accommodations ahead of time and we’ll be happy to help.

COVID Safety Requirements:

All students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination (either vaccination card or digital record) via email prior to the start of class to be admitted.

About the Instructor

Jessilee Windhaus is a proud Sacramento local and a firm believer in the power of applied improvisation. With a background in both short form and long form comedy, she is a 20-year improv veteran who has trained with Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The Groundlings and performed in cities all across the country.
